The Miami Hurricanes are gearing up for a formidable defense in the 2026 season, and they've just added another piece to the puzzle. Nebraska defensive lineman Keona Davis is transferring to Miami, according to InsideTheU and 247Sports' Matt Zenitz. This move comes on the heels of Miami's commitment to prized transfer EDGE Damon Wilson, who had a stellar season at Missouri, and the expected return of star defensive tackle Ahmad Moten. With two years of eligibility remaining, Davis could be a versatile and experienced addition to Miami's already talented defensive front. The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Davis was a full-time starter for Nebraska in 2025, logging 406 snaps across 13 games. Davis' flexibility is a key asset, as he can play multiple spots on the front, including defensive tackle, over the offensive tackle, and as a defensive end outside of the tackle. This move further strengthens Miami's defensive front, which is already expected to be one of the best in the country. Other notable additions to Miami's transfer class include Boston College safety Omar Thornton, South Carolina wide receiver Vandrevius Jacobs, West Virginia wide receiver Cam Vaughn, and Georgia offensive lineman Jamal Meriweather.
