Family drama alert! Bollywood's beloved actor Govinda recently found himself in a rather awkward situation, and the fallout has everyone talking. It all started when Govinda publicly apologized for his wife, Sunita Ahuja's, comments. But here's where it gets controversial: Sunita herself wasn't thrilled about the apology!
This whole situation unfolded after Sunita made some rather strong remarks about their family priest, Pandit Mukesh Shukla. Govinda, in an attempt to smooth things over, took to Instagram to express his apologies and praise the priest. However, in a recent YouTube vlog, Sunita revealed her true feelings, stating she never wanted Govinda to apologize on her behalf.
"I am hearing things like I said something wrong. For that my beloved husband Govinda had to apologise. I did not like that at all because I would never want him to apologise in front of anyone because of me," Sunita shared, expressing her displeasure. She further clarified that she hadn't specifically named anyone, but if anyone was offended, she offered her apologies to all the gurus and priests. She emphasized that Govinda didn't need to apologize, and she never wants him to do so again.
But what exactly did Sunita say that caused such a stir? Well, it all stemmed from a podcast where Paras Chaabra was discussing fraudulent religious figures. Sunita chimed in, saying, "there’s one like that in our house too!" She then went on to accuse the priest of being fake, constantly suggesting expensive rituals and pujas. She even claimed he'd ask for sums like ₹2 lakh for these rituals. She added, "I tell him so many times to do his own puja because his puja won’t help Govinda. I don’t believe in giving away ₹2 or 10 lakh for so-called rituals."
The heart of the matter: This public disagreement comes amidst long-standing rumors of a rift between Govinda and Sunita. Their relationship, however, has a long history, predating Govinda's fame. They were married in March 1987, keeping their wedding private as Govinda was just starting his film career.
Could this be a sign of deeper issues? What do you think about Sunita's reaction to Govinda's apology? Do you agree with her stance, or do you think Govinda did the right thing? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
